Although I am not new to blogging, (you can read here about animal antics, adventures and lovely things found elsewhere) I am hoping this will be a bit different. As the name of my blog suggest itis going to be dedicated to the making of pretty things for sale in Astrid's Garden. I hope to have a few videos posted on here soon and also some instructions on how to make some of your own creations. I have quite a few ideas planned and hope to keep you all amused.
This week I have been busy painting ACEOs. For those of you who haven't heard of ACEOs before, they are miniature pieces of art. ACEO stands for Art Collectibles Editions Originals. At the moment I only have originals for sale, but that may change in the future.
They are only 2.5 by 3.5 " and I cut my own paper from larger pieces of watercolour paper. I am always looking for nice subjects to paint and I have painted a few commissions. These cuties were a selection for a friend and she bought two of the four. Two of these are for sale here

This week I have been painting wolves. They are a fascinating subject and I am sure I will do more of them.
